Period hacks | Your daily routine for happy period

Mensturation can be worst nightmare for any female. During this period, a women can get depressed and feels more vulnerable. Although it's not easy, there are many things you can do that will reduce the pain and ease discomfort during your period.

Happy period

1. Light exercise

Exercises like yoga, swimming, walking and stretching helps increase blood flow. Increased blow flow will reduce cramping and pain.

2. Drink plenty of water 

might seem odd that you need to drink more water when you're feeling the most bloated, puffy and full, but the more water you drink, the more easily you will eliminate the water building up in your body. Drink eight to 10 8-ounce glasses of fluid like water, juice or milk throughout the day (not all at once). If you’re on-the-go, be sure to carry a water bottle with you. This will help you stay hydrated throughout your busy day.

3. Heating pad

Heating pad on your abdomen can soothe your muscle easing your body discomfort and minimizing cramps. Which ultimately  decreases pain.

3. Hygiene

Intimate hygiene is very important in periods. Change your pad or tampon in every 4 - 5 hours. Prolonged use of same pad/tampon causes vaginal Infection , itching and bad odor

4. Food

Try eating more fresh fruit and green veggies. You should work towards getting at least five portions a day of fruits and vegetables. When you eat enough of the right foods it can make all the difference. It can also steer you away from the foods that can make your period symptoms worse: junk food, chocolate and salty foods. Better bets for snack cravings? Try snacking on carrots with hummus, apples with peanut butter, or blend up a smoothie. Plus, fruits and veggies contain lots of water, so you're filling up on the good stuff and staying hydrated at the same time.

Avoid caffeine during periods becauses caffeine makes you bloated and increase cramps.

5. Sleep

Teen needs 8 - 9 hours of sleep per day specially in periods. Less sleep can causes frustration and depressing mood.
